What are the go-to shoes trending this fall and winter?
It’s that time of the year when boot and shoe shopping is a must. It can definitely be hard to find the right ones depending on your style. The good news is that techwear and chunky items are all the rage… brands have made a massive effort to give you a wide selection of noteworthy boots and shoes.
I’ve put together 7 that I really love that are out there right now. Some can be costly, but you often run into that when you’re getting shoes for the fall/winter.
Fear of God
The California Sandal
I’ve mentioned FoG a couple of times over the last few weeks, and these sandals may not blow you out of the water… but if you’re a remote worker and live in a warmer climate, these are extremely ideal for your at-home space.
If you’re looking to replace those dreaded foam rollers from YEEZY, you’re in luck. Because these sandals are slip-on and made of closed-cell foam. And they’re very light. So it’s perfect to slip on and head outside with your robe and morning coffee.
New Balance
CT302
If you’ve followed me for a long time, you know that I love New Balance. And there’s a good reason for it. Strong neutral colorways. Deep palettes. What I love about the CT302’s is that they’re chunky enough to not be chunky. Did that make sense?
Made of leather and rubber, you’ll get a really solid shoe here. And it’s a great addition to add to your fall fits because it’s got versatility with the white and ivory and a hint of purple color. And New Balance’s always comfortable, you can never doubt that.
Maison Mihara Yasuhiro
Peterson Low Top
Mihara Yasuhiro, who’s a Japanese-born designer, has really made a name for himself designing some of the coolest footwear out there. And he’s collabed with PUMA and a ton of other brands, bringing a really fresh feel with innovative and modern designs.
And I love the Peterson low-top shoe. Idk what it is… feels like it screams winter. Yes, it’s pricey, but you’ll get a timeless shoe that will be perfect for any outfit that you pair it with for years. This one is definitely on the top of my list of shoes that I’m trying to get ASAP.
Goods & Services
Made to Order
Made-to-order shoe companies are popping up here and there, and I’m really loving the concept. It’s sustainable friendly, the quality is better for consumers, they’re custom tailored, and you get to add your own flair. And for the businesses themselves, they get to save money on returns, don’t have to deal with excess inventory, and much more. Yes, it may not help them with volume, but that’s not always everyone’s business objective.
Goods & Services has been known to rework Jordan’s, Birkenstocks, and much more. So this is their first foray into making products as their own brand. And what I love about it is that they upcycle their shoes. They use military garments, old rubber soles, and much more to form a perfect shoe for that foot of yours. But heads up, it’s extremely expensive and can cost you in the thousands.
Moncler x Fragment
Nathan Vanhook Trail Grip
The Moncler GORE-TEX has been highly anticipated, and the fragment design partnership takes these up a notch. It may look like a traditional hiking boot, but it’s got that Moncler flair that makes it more stylish. But that doesn’t mean you can’t take these out for rugged trips.
Moncler’s patented GORE-TEX membrane keeps the wearer dry and comfy, giving you range for these kicks. And they have grip on it, so you can take these out in the snow, mud, or wherever your heart desires.
Garment Project
Cloud Snow Boot
Copenhagen label Garment Project just dropped a new Cloud Snow Boot just in time for the winter season. And it’s perfect for your snow adventures. Made with leather and water-resistant nylon, it gives you a chic look that’s practical for any heavy-duty activity.
The thermic inner nylon keeps your feet warm and dry. And it’s got padded boots, tapping into the luxury boot wear that Moon Boot’s has brought to the forefront. It’s considered a luxury boot, but you won’t have to shell out $700 bucks like you would for Moncler’s. These sell for $250 right now.
Nike ACG
FlyEase Gaiadome GTX
I first spotted the ACG brand when one of my old bosses was wearing a hoodie. I was like wait what is that? And it’s a completely underground product by Nike that not many know about. ACG is a sports performance division of Nike. So you know you’ll get practicality and quality when you buy this product.
The FlyEase is eye-catching, high-top boots featuring the same GORE-TEX base as the Moncler’s. They’ve got a heavy-duty Trail look with a little Air Zoom design sprinkled throughout. Perfect for any type of climate you live in.
Of course, it would be a dream to have all of these haha… but look to this to give you a selection of shoes and boots for the colder season. And some inspiration 💡💡
See you next Sunday,
