Welcome to issue #042. New York Fashion Week came back with a vengeance this year. The best fashion designers in the world flooded the streets of NYC ready to showcase their Spring-Summer 2022 collections.
The red carpet was buzzing. And that's because COVID-19 had forced previous NYFW's online. This year, designers were selecting major landmarks for their runway shows. Ulla Johnson took over the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, LaQuan Smith hosted his runway show at the Empire State Building, followed by a massive closeout event by Tom Ford.
Several models were back in the spotlight. Gigi Hadid modeled for Proenza Schouler and Christian Siriano held a massive runway show focused on body positivity.
New York Fashion Week can be a little overwhelming since it's a week-long event with 100s of collections (and a cap off with the Met Gala). So I put together some of my favorites, that way you can get a front-row seat at one of the biggest events of the year.

L’Annee Du Chien is a teeny tiny brand out of Los Angeles that you’ve probably never heard of. And with Tennis fashion taking the world by storm (especially in New York and Paris) you can’t go wrong with some of the simple couture designs from LDC.
